because cats make me smile...

“What greater gift than the love of a cat.”

― Charles Dickens

“When a cat flatters ... he is not insincere: you may safely take it for real kindness.”

― Walter Savage Landor, Imaginary Conversations

“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.”

― Christopher Hitchens, The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever

Franco Matticchio, Mama cat

“Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.”

― James Herriot, James Herriot's Cat Stories

A self-proclaimed “crazy cat lady,” artist Francesa Mosmea has an affinity for drawing cats. As one of her favorite subjects, Mosmea handprints each feline figure using a delicate hand, which mimics the effect of pencil on paper.

Each animal illustration is delicately composed on white cotton fabric with the help of permanent non-toxic colors. The adorable pillows usually take the shape of the animal silhouettes, which delivers a playful and super cute decorative item. Find them in her Etsy shop.

“Dexter’s first day in his new home!”

“If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.”

― Mark Twain

“There are two means of refuge from the misery of life — music and cats.”

― Albert Schweitzer

Aqua Blu-tiful

Now, look, I know the light was just playing tricks on us. And I know we'd all probably inhaled too much sequin glue. But for the briefest moment, the blue of Zoe's pool gave way to deeper, darker aqua-colored water. The few plants and rocks were replaced with a lagoon and a waterfall where several mermaids lounged half in the water, half in the sun. They splashed and dove, their laughter making the same sound as the water.”
